Well caulking is working better for me right now. There is still a lot of logic in the three G's for others. I just find using one product for most applications is more convenient. The caulking is really working great for all my needs and seems to be as good a bond if not better than the other products. What I like best is that it does not foam, which can lift or push things around, but it is still able to fill voids and irregular surfaces in the foam for good bonding. Plus, it is easier to store, and clean up. It bonds dissimilar materials together well and is more economical.

Thanks for asking this question. I was going to ask what less expensive alternatives there are to the "Three Gs" which are suitable and this answered it. We already have plenty of oops paint that I bought years ago and finally have a use for and Alex Plus is hella cheaper than GG and GS.

We have to work on a shoestring budget. This really helps.

It is cheaper, but it does take a longer time to set up and fully cure.

It will usually dry to a point where you can handle it in a few hours. I glued two 6"x6" pieces of foam together and I was not able to separate them by hand the next day. I cut through the piece and it had cured about a inch in around the edges. I then waited a week and cut through the pieces again. It was fully cured edge to edge at that point. Granted it was only two 6"x3" pieces at that time. I could not separate the pieces by hand or by putting my weight on one side while resting the other side on a counter edge.
