Thanks for the input guys. I had this dream of a beautiful rich wood exterior. Enter. A birch, great to work with, but even with stain conditioner it just isn't my version of "beautiful. And more importantly B. My mistake and carelessness of picking and laying the exterior panels.
I tossed around the idea or picking up some veneer for each side. But that is more expensive than aluminum and then I still need to epoxy and do extensive maintenance to keep it looking good over years.
I'm about 90% sure I will paint over the epoxy. I will finish building the roof then make a decision. Maybe I will go all aluminum?
Thoughts on all aluminum vs aluminum top and paint sides? I have aluminum mill finished doors and currently black painted steel fenders. The origin plan was aluminum top and doors, wood sides, and color matching to Subaru "wilderness green" fenders. With aluminum or diamond plate trim along the bottom to hide the frame rails and underbelly attachment staples.
Now maybe all aluminum with same finish scheme as above or paint sides to match subi? Or maybe paint yellow (the wife loves yellow, and the yellow plus green makes her, as a packers fan, happy.)
