I have received all my supplies to wire my trailer! I am so excited!

I am in the middle of wiring so I can connect it all to my PD 4045. The AC side I have down. I will post pictures later. The DC side has me thinking a little more. I have:
standard 12 volt roof fan
3 ceiling mount 12 Volt LED lights (.45 Amps)
6 flush mount Undermount Puck 12 volt LED lights (.9 Amps)
A 3 in 1: two USB/Voltmeter/Car Charger, panel
A 2 in one panel Two USB/Car Charger panel
A Shurflow Water pump (7.5 amps)

Here is how I plan to wire the 3 Ceiling Lights with a switch on each light coming from the same fuse power line from the PD 4045:



Here is how I plan to wire the 6 flush mount Undermount Puck LED lights also using one single power line from the PD 4045:



I am puzzled how I will do the 3in 1 and the 2 in one. I believe I will do it just as I do the 6 LED puck lights above.
What do you all think?

As for the Solar Panel setup I think I am going to install a cutoff switch between both the PD 4045 and the Solar panel positive line. The solar positive wire cutoff for when I plug into Shore power and the cutoff on the Positive line to the PD 4045 for when I need to work on the DC wiring.

Suggestions and comments very welcome! I need them good or bad.

I think what you need is a automatic transfer switch. It's the same concept used when you have a generator. I believe it senses voltage and switches to shore/gen if available. The goal here is to shut off solar and charge with PD4045 when shore power is hot. It is possible that a MPPT controller has that feature built in, but I don't know. As far as your DC plans, It sounds fine. Those are all very low amp items, except pump. Just try to keep the combined load down to 12amps or so for the 15amp breakers/fuses. That should also leave you with some empty circuits if you need to expand later.

McDave is correct. A MPPT solar controller automatically chooses for you.....

I have solar panels on top (goes to MPPT and then to the battery) and external AC plug which goes to the PD4045. The battery also goes to PD4045.

After a hail storm destroyed 1 of 2 twelve volt panels, I'll be switching to a 36-volt panel (cheap around here). The MPPT listed above will make all adjustments needed.

Thanks! That MPPT controller looks great, but is out of my budget. Would a cutoff switch between the controller and the battery on the positive line do the same thing? I would always have to make sure I turned the switch on and off when connecting and disconnecting to shore power. I could do that until I have the funds to upgrade from a pwm controller to the MPPT controller.

Hello! I am back. Well I was never really gone, just not posting. I have been reading and reading and enjoying the process everyone goes through on this site. I visited my thread and realized I never added my final video on to my build!

We love our trailer and have seen soo many things with it. I often thought it would be my only build...laughed about others who started a second or third...well we are in the design process of a second. We are thinking of building a 7x18x7 tandem axle. We just need some more space. We want designated beds for ourselves (queen for my wife and I, larger bunk space for the girls, and a dinette that doesn't need to convert be converted each day, oh and an emergency night pee toilet). Once we build far enough to use the new trailer, we will sell our first trailer. That will be a tough day! This new adventure is still in the design phase. Any recommendations on 3D design tools? Web tools, software?
