Flyboy, Yes I am open water certified @ hatts back in 78 or so. I have dove off my boat around Vero and Wabasso beach when conditions are right, for lobstah. :) Been awhile. I rent everything except mask, fins, weight belt, gloves, tickler and bag. I got the good bottom off Sebastian marked on my bottom machine but 90 feet-100 feet is deep for me. Off Bethal Shoal and then north is the High Bar. Great structure. Seen BIG sharks out there brother. Hammerheads nearly long as my 20 foot boat. Big Yellow sharks chasing a pod of dolphins that had very young ones in there mist. You never know what your gonna see out there.

Hank. Yes. Exactly. That curtain will add color and simplicity. I can whip that panel out PDQ too. I don't think hinges will be involved. Maybe a bottom grove and wing nuts on top. Yup. I will let the wife pick out the color curtain. Not sure about the Plexiglas port hole. I have looked but can not find what I envision. I know I can go back and do that even when the wall is up.

Wont be long know fellas. Little things for ever but its almost ready for a shake down cruise. Going to need that AC for sure.

Flyboy here is my modest boat. I just flip off the side of course. Off shore up to 35 miles. I have great respect and fear of the weather when off shore. Getting older and more cautious these days. More fisherman than diver lately.
Hanging out at the sand bar at S.I on a clean incoming tide is fun. Lots of eye candy but when it starts to get crowded we leave.

Was thinkin' some thing like these ... for a retro look,
http://www.lowes.com/pd/Stanley-Nationa ... ws/3167561
to hold the panel in place and for quick emergency access if necessary.

Yes. Full turn button screws. That's what I will use as I think they lock after one full turn right?
I have decided on this brand of sunbrella curtains as it is thicker than what amazon offers. Just need the wife to decide the color today.

Wow.. nice boat. I don't own a boat. I am Advanced Open Water certified and just go out on Charters a few times a year down south of Jupiter usually . I like diving shipwrecks and night dives the most. I have dove all over the Carribean. Been certified for about 6 years. I should have done it alot sooner. I own all my gear but the tanks because when I travel, I never know what the local dive shop may have... and it is life support equipment. :-)

Haven't booked a dive charter in decades but that is the way to go. As you know the diving up here is just not that good for scenery and such. good for meat though. I never get sea sick on my boat but when I get on someone else's, I may turn KIWI like those curtains. Fort Pierce to Jupiter, inshore diving for me. Still prefer to troll. Nothing like hearing the pop of an outrigger, and the scream of the reel peeling off line. Clear the deck mayhem as a big fish breaks the surface. big FISH ON! wahooo!
Only other sound that good is my KTM as I'm ripping through the forest :D I need to get away and have some fun. That kind of fun.

After disconnecting my AC electrical hook up months ago I put it back together and it doesn't work. After calling the dealer to inquire how they did it, he said hmmmm sounds like we did a back feed. Be careful you may get nocked on your butt.

Here is what I remember him saying 7 years ago. " DONT LOOSE THIS ADAPTER,EVER." That adapter is now misplaced :x I remember you had to pass the extension cord through the floor, then press on the big yellow double male adapter. One male side into the extension cord and the other side of the male adapter into one of the two receptacle outlets. Then plug in a two foot cord/male plug ( that is hard wired into the receptacle through the bottom of the receptacle ) into the remaining outlet. DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT? What I did was like I said but with out the adapter I just plugged in the extension cord from the house right to the hard wired AC short male plug. So, power to the extension cord, yes. Power to the AC Male plug from the extension cord, has to be. NOW,from there to the plug is wired to the side of the receptacle. white to white, black to black, copper and green to ground. At this point I would think it work. BUT DO I HAVE TO ACTAULLY PLUG IT IN to work? IS This a back feed? Is there a better way? I want to hard wire my range into this too but think I may need a double gang box and two extension cords anyway, one for each receptacle. Where can I buy a double male adapter? I looked in home depot. No go Dealer said try camping world.

Please Help
Thanks I could post pics if it will help. just say so.

Oh yes the short AC Hard wired plug is spliced into the wires coming from the AC, then wired to the receptacle. That's why I thought It should work without having to plug in the short cord as it is indirectly wired right to the AC. I may have it right and just need the adapter. My memory should be better. Are you confused yet? I am

There are double male extension cords but cannot find that adapter anywhere on line yet. would ultimately like a two gang box with the hood hard wired in and I guess the AC like it was. I am no electrician and wonder if I should seek one out but I will wait to see what you guys say.

The reason you can't buy a double male plug is no one wants the liability of being sued for improper use.Frankly , I would redo the wiring to eliminate having to
use it .If all else fails you could make one with 2 male plugs and a length of wire. There's a reason they call these suicide cords. :frightened:

Tommy B. Howdy;

Back to the full rotational "Button Fastener". Those are like what used to keep the screens in the wooden
framed windows when I was a kid (think 50's and 60's), They are 360 degree rotational. The tension is with
the mounting screw. You will need to provide some sort of lip for the access panel to lay back against.
Doesn't need to be much 3/8" to a 1/2' will suffice.

hank

As far as the electrical thing goes why not just buy a new 5k btu job??? Tons less frustrating ...

Hey Tommy,
I just want to say first of all, you're doin some fine work there Mr. You've come pretty far in a short time, and I have hung enough doors to Know, It ain't easy..
OK, In your post about the door install you said " caulking skills", and I laughed....hehehe
Also, NICE DINGY...hehehe
So yea, our country seems to be comin unglued, but we don't have to participate in that crap. In fact, at this point Men of age and stature should be leading and setting the example for the rest of the folks. We were lucky enough to come into our prime at the pinnacle of our country's greatness. We know how to be Great, and Good, so now we need to pass that on and maybe be the men our fathers were. I know there are a lot of good people, but right now we need some Great people. I don't have kids, but there are many young men here who want to learn, and weve got the experience, good and bad, to maybe make a difference to somebody. At the very least we can lead by example, and it might just make us better men as well. Can't hurt.
I did get some stuff done this weekend as well. Blacktank and shower pan are roughed in. Painted roof last week, gathered up doors I want to repurpose, and should have some good progress soon. Still fightin with the Harley, so had to take the Indian out Sunday to hit the highway and have a wee bit o' the spirits.
I really need to get the A/C mounted cause its getting HOT, and then I can move the trailer out of the shop and break out the '57 and '58 and drive em a little before winter is here. Bike rally's start June 24 so its time to move.
Anyways Tommy, you're doin all the good Mr.
Keep it up.
 ;)
