) working in the Sun would be the place where blisters showed up immediately, or would dry the first coat adequately after hours of exposure, so re-coat time would be shorter , even less if one does not Add extra glue on top the canvas ! That is , except the highly thinned sizing coat
if a thicker canvas is used , one that is not fully saturated with glue in the initial covering ... The idea to encapsulate and protect each and every fiber in the fabric ... That direct solar radition is powerful s*** ...

... and as the fabric shrinks (which it will) , then everything tightens up . Ideally !!!
