I would bet that the bear was just trying to get inside the tent to see if there was any food and the person's head just happened to be in the way. A 120 lb bear is pretty young and small. I doubt it was "attacking" the camper. But now it will possibly be put down due to that. Camp with the critters, the critters should have the "rights".

Someone asked me once if I thought a bear could scratch their way into my camper. I replied "Not before I can shoot out through it"

Yeah, I think I over built ours. The walls are 3/4 and 1/2 plywood glued and screwed together. I don't think a bear is clawing it's way through our walls.

The whole bear through the tent was always a fear I have tent camping. Hoping to be road worthy & camp worthy (minus galley) with our camper for our family reunion end of this month.

I live in an area with a number of bears and camp with them regularly. If he wants in your tear...1/2" ply isn't going to stop him. The door or galley will be quickly removed, bears aren't stupid. Doug
