Built-up Walls For The Lil'Diner

I got the wall parts cut out today. I put a seal-coat of epoxy on the panels, as well as, glued them together. Here are some progress shots...



We settled on Birch/Cherry/Birch.
I'll get 'glass on tommorow, Then I'll do two for myself while Mike's cure up.
I'll get the web page updated tomorrow also! I'm Tired!! :sleeping:

I updated the Lil' Diner Build Journal. I'll be working on panels for a second 'Diner, while Mike's are curing.

Okay... I'm back... I made dust... it's metal dust, but it's a start!!!



Tomorrow I'll fire up the furnace and get the first coat of paint of black rustoleum on it...

Hey, What's the axle set up? Hub to hub? What's the wheel offset? I'm thinking of ordering the same setup as your's. I want to get the right wheel offset for the frame/shell setup. I have the parts list, just wondering about those wheels.

The wheel offset is 0. I'll check on the hub to hub this morning... you got the parts list from the weekender page, right?

I don't know if I included the wheel information on that page... (adding to my todo list)

Rik and I both bought from Low Cost Trailer Supply... it was a little confusing because they didn't use the correct picture, and getting a hold of them on the phone was difficult, but it all worked out in the end. Saved a little bit of money too!

Yes, the frame is 2x2x1/8. The tongue is 2x2x3/16.

I figured I'd remove the front ones to keep the tongue weight down. I'll move the cross members to the back to get the weight back up!!!

Got the second epoxy coat done! Had a killer week at work, not any time/energy for the shop
Tomorrow's effort will be flipping the side panels over for to reinforce the panel joints. I might get the profile cut if the panels seem strong enough, I can do the reinforcing after...Can't wait to see how the 'Diner will look in full size!!
