Vintage pop-up trailer identification

Postby George T. » Wed Jun 22, 2016 12:08 pm

Greetings from Colorado!

Long story short. I sold a vintage Chambers range, delivered it up into the mountains and ended up making a deal for a trailer that I didn't know existed. " It followed me home, can I keep it?!" type scenario. Not that I need it....

I am attempting to identify the make, year and model of this pop-up trailer. To date, I have not had any luck. I contacted Grant Whipp and he commented "that there are several elements/features that appear very Higgins-esque …! "

Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated!

Thanks! George T.

Sorry for the delay my friend. I haven't logged in for a week or so. I didn't get the message till I logged in today. That's a cool trailer. One I've never seen before. I notice that it has a tongue jack that I have researched before. It was patented in 1947-8 ifI remembercorrectly. Was not around that long. They seemed to disappear in the early 50's. So I'm guessing it was built between 47 and maybe 53.

How have you been?
