Hi, everyone. This is Rick from PeeWee Campers. This is our ONE post about the 5' x 8' teardrop campers we manufacture. They're very strong and reasonably priced and everyone that sees one always says the same thing - "That is the cutest thing I've ever seen!" We make a lightweight, but very sturdy camper that has a gallery and lots of features in the base price so that you don't have to add options to actually use it as a camper. Our ready-to-camp model is under $8,000. We also have an econo model (no galley, no mattresses, and only one side door) for under $5,000. Watch our videos on the PeeWee Camper channel on YouTube or visit our website at peeweecampers.com.

That's the end of the commercial, and I would just like to say that we are happy to give advice to teardrop home builders. You might think a manufacturer would want to discourage home builders, but we admire them and applaud them. :applause: They are the ones who started this industry in the first place! We say, keep up the good work.

I am a home builder. A home build is a prototype always with some flaws.
A manufactured TD(i hope) has when thru the prototyping and can make a better made TD. :worship:

Kenneth, I like what you said about home builds always being a prototype with some flaws. This is true, but generally the flaws are not catastrophic. And fixing the flaws can also be the fun part of the build (as well as the frustrating part – a double-edged sword).

We go through many, many prototypes to make sure that the manufacturing process is efficient and the end result is perfect. Sometimes this means changing a measurement by a 1/16 of an inch or making your own part because what you need just doesn’t exist.

Kudos to all the home builders! We know how you feel when you see the finished product. We get the same feeling every day.

I guess it boils down to do you want a unique looking time proven camper with the flaws already fixed, or do you want to gamble on a new trailer, looking like all the others like it, where you are the one who needs to fix the manufacturing flaws?
