Yes, that is a great idea. I already have the washers. I came to that conclusion yesterday while staring it.

I managed to get a few small things done tonight. Once small thing at a time. I fixed the bathroom wiring where I missed the wall. I used the rotozip and cut a small path to pull over the wires then I used that putty that you mix and it hardens almost like a Bondo. Once it cured, I sanded it down. When I put the coat of paint back on, you will never know. :-)

I mounted the Solar Charger and cut a pass through for the wires.

The shower baskets came in today, so I mounted them.

looking good there Don. Your fix for your wiring drop worked out really good. You'll have yours done before you know it.

Thanks Martin. I am taking Friday off this week to work on the trailer. I should be able to get a good 20hrs in this weekend. Major progress I hope. My goal is to take this camper on the maiden voyage over the labor day weekend. The wife will be visiting my Son and Grandson in Dallas, and I am going to sneak out!

I understand. I'm trying to get ours done so we can take it to N Carolina in late August or early September as well. We're planning to load the RoadKing up and ride for several days. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'll get that for you and edit this post when I get home tonight. It is great for small repairs.

Edit: it is called WaterWeld and made by JB Weld. It comes in a little plastic container and looks like round playdough. It has a hardener in the center and when you start to roll it, you can feel it getting warm.

The also have some stuff called Kwikwood specifically for wood, but the Waterweld seems to work fine and is very versatile.

I have a three day weekend starting tomorrow. Can't wait to get some stuff done on the CTC. I bought the tile board to panel the bathroom and some other paneling for the walls tonight on the way home from work. I hope to get all that installed tomorrow, finish the plumbing and electrical Saturday and get the kitchen countertop and cabinets framed in, and the dinette and the overhead storage framed on Sunday afternoon.

I'll post some progress pics as usual.

Erm... It's none of my business but would it be possible to flip the faucet and make the hose point down? Pointed up it looks like it needs a strain relief and it would declutter that area below the shower riser. That's my decorator tip for the day.

Ya gotta love this warnmar10 guy. Nothin' gets past him. Very astute. Handy guy to have around.
Boy, that sounds like a big weekend you got planned. I gotta say though, I admire the way you set goals, and then just knock em out, 1 by 1. I'm not far behind you, and I'm really trying to stay focused. Sturgis starts Fri, Aug 5 for us. I'm determined to have this thing mostly D O N E before we take off. Still lots to do. Finish up some wiring, install frig and MW, install sink and countertop, flooring, wall coverings and headliner, LED stringlites, Oh, and stock the bar. Also, wire the van with 7 pin connector so we can charge in transit and have some reverse lites. And about a thousand loose ends. Its gonna be a J O B, but I said that was my goal, so I gotta do it. Wish me luck. See ya at the Rally? If not maybe next year...

warnmar10, I can flip the faucet... however it was designed to be pointed up as is. If you could hold the hose, you'd see it is very light. No strain relief needed in this case. I appreciate the comments though.

McDave, sounds like you have a busy week ahead. Best wishes to you on getting it all done. Most of all, enjoy Sturgis! My brothers leave today and are heading that way. I like to set goals.. somehow having goals helps me push on.. sometimes I set them too high... but like my dad use to say.. "set your goals low enough and you will reach them every time" So I set stretch goals for myself

I assumed you had it installed correctly, it was only an aesthetic suggestion.

Don,
Your bathroom is coming together nicely. I'm putting together my list of ideas for my CTC version 2.0 like you've done yourself.
The crazy part is I've enjoyed the build of this first one and I'll enjoy using it for several years, BUT I'm looking forward to version 2.0. The things I've learned along the way have been great..

Get lotsa work done over your long weekend, the end is insight.

I turned the handle upside down today as warnmar10 suggested. It does look better, but I am not sure I like the valves turning up instead of down. I'll have to make my mind up before I close up that wall.
