When you had it custom built, did you have them de-rate the springs?
How does it tow, does it bounce a lot?
Most of the cargo trailers are built for hauling cargo...and thus have a 3500 pound or so capacity. When you only have a bed and a few things inside, they can ride very rough since the builder designed them to carry a lot more weight.
With the suspension (springs and tires) adjusted to correspond with the actual weight, the trailer will ride so smoothly you'll have to look behind you to be sure it is still there!
