My first ever trailer, and it's pretty tiny.

At 63 I finally moved up from a tent with my new custom built 6x10 Look Vision trailer. I can stand up in my new boondocker with 2 inches to spare. It is factory paneled inside with white vinyl. The sliding window has a screen. I built a wood platform for my full xl memory foam bed and I built a table in front for my propane camp stove, lantern etc. It has no uncoupled power system so I just use battery LED lights and mini propane canisters. Yes I have. It was 1310# new and I've added about 150# more in improvements and supplies.

I am always leery of un-vented propane heaters. Every year there is someone dying in a ice shelter using a unvented heater. On top of that even when operating right, they put out a lot of humidity.
So get a alarm!! Have a lot of ventilation and be real REAL careful when using it.

Camping made easier

When you had it custom built, did you have them de-rate the springs?
How does it tow, does it bounce a lot?

Most of the cargo trailers are built for hauling cargo...and thus have a 3500 pound or so capacity. When you only have a bed and a few things inside, they can ride very rough since the builder designed them to carry a lot more weight.

With the suspension (springs and tires) adjusted to correspond with the actual weight, the trailer will ride so smoothly you'll have to look behind you to be sure it is still there!
