Thanks Martin! The backup lights are nice when arriving to a campsite after dark and having to back in. I have had to do that in Ocala NF a few times.
I picked up 2 Exide 31MDC 12VDC Group 31 115AH (115A @ 20H) Deep Cycle Batteries tonight. I may not get the third right away. 230AH should be more than enough. We'll see after I actually use them a few times. In any case, it will be easy to add one or two more.
The 500W of Solar should charge them up well during the day... and I can always top them off with the generator and the 55A converter on board.
I still have to hook up the solar cells via the Solar Controller and the various fuses and quick disconnects. I just have it on the charger/converter tonight while plugged into the house so they can charge. They fit in the space well, and you can see the additional space that I will have under the dinette. You never know, I may go crazy some day and get a few more batteries and Solar Cells so I can run the AC on Solar also and toss the generator. As it is now, I think I will be able to heat my water during the day with Solar Power (Electricity)and still keep the batteries charged. That is assuming I have good sun most of the day.
