Tommy... is that camper going to be ready for some Lake Delancey boondocking in the fall? I am getting closer.

Hey FlyBOY. Oh yes. I think about it every hot humid day while being bored at work. Cooler weather. That low humidity feeling. The smell of the forest and camp fire as the wind blows through. The KTM or ATV ready to ride. Time goes so fast up there. I really can not imagine doing all that in relative comfort. Blows my mind when I look in the trailer now.
6-8 weeks out maybe unless we get a teaser cold front. But I am ready now. :thumbsup:
I really hope to see you up there Don. Serious. I hate loud music or any music in the forest. I am quite and neat. Wake early. A few beers between rides. Some more at end of day. Big fire. Rack out early 10-11. Try not to have to many beers before bed, but always do! :lol:
ATV is ambulance, tow truck, and fire wood macihine. Plus so much fun to just ride slow and easy through out the trail system.
The very few friends I have that go up there are not like that. Rum,cigars, loud music. Nine inch nails B.S. But I tolerate it cause I have to.
Hope that's not too much info! :beer:

I will start having every other Friday off starting in Mid Oct. We'll have to plan a ride/camp trip. I need to knock the dust off my KTM!

wow. perfect. we will hook up and ride in Malabar prior to Ocala I'm sure. Still too hot for me just yet even locally.

Ride from here soon. Whats a good way to message you. I will not pester you. Is there a way to Privately message you off this board? About riding/camping notification? :thinking:

Look for the tree with the tire up in it. See it? ;)

Last one. Gets really dark up there in Ocala. But when the sky is clear the night sky is amazing.

Hey Don, I just called Salt Springs Recreation Area. I've camped there once. Very nice. Anyway, After Camping at Delancey West, I will dump my black Tank there on the way home for 7 dollars. They are open 8-8 for that. That's a big DEAL for me. I called the new Giant Recreation World in Palm Bay to see if they would have a public dump station and they said no. Just Info. :beer: I will have no qualms about using the toilet now what so ever.

Tommy, I will PM you my email address later this evening. You can use the email to contact.

Did Giant Recreation say no dumping even with a fee? I am sure they won't do it for free. I have a 12 gal roll around. For a short weekend, I could just transfer to my septic tank at home. I created a dump pipe for my dad's RV years ago when he would park it in my backyard.

I'll dump gray water on the ground in a pinch.

It is just shower water and etc. with biodegradable soaps. No harm to anything.

I look forward to some camping this fall. I want to be done with this build and enjoy the fruits of my labor! It is taking more than I thought.

She said her boss said there would be no dump station available to the public what so ever. I told her they should offer that service for a fee as I know a few people who might be interested in RVING if they new where to dump at conveniently. Still said sorry, no. I am tempted to utilize that clean out pipe down by the swale. It comes right off the guest bath. Pretty sure it against code but I could do it real quick in the dark I guess. Clean out the tank with warm soapy water that way. We will see. City water/city sewage here. :thinking:

Tommy B. Howdy;

Here's a link to where to (perhaps), find a dumpstation.

http://www.sanidumps.com/rvdumpsregion.php?region=23

Helps me when I do migrate, although not that often, ...

For others, just use the regions tab at the top for your State.

saved to my favorites. Thanks. Not good for me locally looks like. Cross town or over beach side.

It will work really well to dump at Salt Springs for 7 dollars. Its only 6 miles or so from boon docking campsite and I wont have to worry about carting it around. I just don't know the exact procedure I'm going to use. Can I dump and rinse a few times and can I use a liquid soap like dawn. I would mix 5 gallons hot water and dump in the toilet from inside after a few plain rinses and then rinse again for storage. Should I leave a little water in there during season 0r drain it dry. Hank you said a small portion of fabric softener after final rinse.
I do plan on putting 3-5 gallons of water in the tank prior to leaving house or first use as I understand the mixing of it all. Its a 15 gallon tank and I will only use it 2-4 days at a time.

Thanks all. :thinking:

Tommy B. Howdy;

Black tank maint. ain't Rocket Science, but it also ain't Romper Room either ... You can dump, then rinse using;
https://www.amazon.com/Valterra-A01-018 ... B000BGHYDO
or one of these;
https://www.amazon.com/Valterra-A01-018 ... B000BGHYDO
All depends on which way you want to go. Me, ... I'd use the latter, unless there is a bend between where you attach it and the tank. The bend
would kill any force that is in the water jet.
Dump site etiquette, yep there is such a thing. If there is a line of folks waiting to use the hole in the ground dump it and give it a few minutes to rinse
then button up and move along If it's only you there then take your time, no need to "boil water" no one's giving birth here. Just give it the best rinse
you can and before you leave on your next adventure (applies to both situations), just put some liquid soap and some fabric softener and perhaps a gallon
or 2 of water and let it slosh around on the way there. Use it, then empty it on the way home. The solution will coat the walls on the way there an will
help the contents 'release' and flow out the exit more easily. I'd still get a clear section for the discharge, just for my own piece of mind that the mixture
has "left the house". Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
