Martin, thanks for encouraging me to do it myself. I'll get a lot of satisfaction knowing I built them myself.

Don,
Your more than welcome. After seeing some of your other work I had no doubt you could build the doors. There something about knowing you built them and the rest of your cabinets that you can't put into words  . Congrats, the doors look great.

NAIILED IT!!! Those look really nice! I mean REALLY NICE!! I know yer chest is all puffed up now, gotta be proud of that work, being a "novice" and all. :applause:
But hey, if you wanted to run all ops. on stock, you would have to use mitre joints at corners. I don't know if that is compatible with the pocket screw jig or not. But what you did looks PRO fessional.
Give yourself a high five.
Nice job.

McDave

PS, is that just beaded board panelling? It looks pretty real once it's painted.

Thanks all for the positive feedback. I really appreciate it. I am glad I tried building these rather that buying doors as I originally planned on doing. It took all weekend... but it was worth the effort. They aren't perfect but neither am I . :)

It is on to painting and trim inside the CTC now.

Wow you got busy after I left. Really nice Don.

Hey It looks like the maxx air vent has a cover that mounts with out any hardware. Saw a video on youtube. I am ordering today. Pops right on held on with some clips. I will return that camco cover back to you along with the window as I don't think Ill use it either, but it was worth trying and considering. Thanks Don!

I just want to say my head was spinning when I left. What a set up! The whole thing. Im still absorbing it all.

Final paint is finished. Going into the trailer now to start taping off and painting. Going to start in the kitchen and work my way back.

A few of the doors drying. The remainder are in the garage.

The weather turned foul and it is raining a lightening bad right now.. so done for the day. I need to change the oil in the wife's Explorer anyhow. I did get one overhead cabinet primed and put on a door because it was killing me to put at least one on to see what it would look like.

Feels like I am never going to finish after starting to paint today. I think painting and trimming out the inside is going to take a while... and paint is so messy! I also had to spackle and then sand over the countersunk screw holes.. What a dusty mess!

I liked insulating a framing better.

It is back to work tomorrow so I don't expect to make much progress until the weekend coming up.

That's what I replaced the Camco with, although the Camco would have worked if I wanted to drill... The Maxxair is super easy to put on I must say. I'll find somebody who can use it. I have the brand new vent that was installed on the trailer at the factory which I removed to put in the Maxxair.

McDave, the panels are made out that beadboard paneling I used on the walls. I kinda like it.

Did I ever tell anyone how much I hate painting... I must say this is the least enjoyable part of the build. I am making such a mess right now! I'll get it done and hopefully it looks okay after I clean it back up.

Hopefully I'll have some good progress pics by Saturday evening. I intend to have the kitchen mostly done and all the cabinets painted and doors installed. I don''t think I will be able to get to the power cabinet to make the doors for it this weekend. I need to make two large doors for that and one for the AC/Fridge cabinet still... That will go quicker since I know better how to do that now.

I hope you guys are having a great week!

Don, I sympathize with you. I hate painting and the finish sanding that goes along with it. That is why my projects will never win any awards.

Yes.. it is painting and hanging cabinet doors day. They are all ready with hardware attached. Hopefully I'll have some good progress pics at the end of the day. I'll have to stop a few times to stir the Chili. Going to a Chili cook off dinner tonight. It already smells good around here.

Boy those look professional. Really, really nice. I think you have just inspired me. No, not to go out and paint. To start a pot of chili. It's a very wet, dark, cold day here. So, either I go sit in a bar, or, at least try to do something productive. A pot of chili sounds like a great way to start, either way. I know that will make Babydoll happy. Did you count those beans? You gotta count em'. 239 beans MAX. Not one more. If you put in one more,
it'll be too farty..... ;)
just sayin'..
