    Ira asked:
What the heck is a Summer Solstice? Is that when the sun is at its closest to the earth?
Ira, Up here it means that the sun circles on the horizon around the cabin and only briefly goes behind the trees to the North in the middle of the night. At noon the sun reaches 49* from the horizon in the South - the highest it gets all year! :relaxing:

Sorry it's taken me so long to get in on this thread. What with fumbling around in the dark down here, I could'nt find my laptop. We've just had our winter solstice(shortest day of the year Ira) so I envy those of you with sunshine and warmth. Enjoy :P

Cheers
Paul

That is what we Finns call a "Soup Canon" that the Military Normally used or still use for cooking Stew, Soup or even Oatmeal....Thats about as old as the hills in reality..but its quite handy and feeds many at a time. There is a saying that my Grandpa used to say.... Everyday we didnt shoot but everyday we had to Eat.... So this is what my Grandpa was used to ....
