uh man feel like chit. Had to forge ahead for sanity.
This is the final solution to this issue. I have exhausted all other options. Flush king will go in ammo can.

so drained.

That looks pretty good. I meant to forward this to you but was waiting till all calmed down there.

Sorry it didn't come in time, the sliding tray feature is what I really like. This looks right for me. Mounted underneath near the valve.
Just glad all is OK with you.

Hello Mcdave.

Sad times, must move forward.

In our own builders pride, I feel good about this set up. I will make a Top Shelf over that pipe for orange plastic ammo containers. Strap them down. Far From done. Rough cut.

That all sounds pretty good! Keeps it handy and keeps the un-sanitary stuff outside, Win, Win!

Tommy, the pipe looks good and it will do the job. Way to go.

I have been dreaming up a solar hot water heater using 1/2 or 3/4 in PVC pipe and painting it flat black. I am just trying to figure out how many linear feet I need to contain 6 to 10 gals of water then I can design the optimum size of the panel. It will go on the roof in the back and serve the dual purpose of keeping that sun off the camper (At least part of it anyhow The front half is covered with photovoltaic solar panels). Let me know if you are interested and when I build mine, you can build one too. PVC is cheap so I bet I can build it for less than $50. I'll plumb it effectively in parallel to the gas HW heater with isolation valves so I can put it in the HW circuit or not as I need it.

The more I think, the more I am thinking it should be before the gas heater and in series. In that case, the gas can be on and may never be triggered unless the sun is not out. I have to think about that more because it would need to circulate through the tank with a return. With your on demand setup... it could go in series and just turn off the gas.

But I would like to add you are incredible. Lets see what you come up with. 8) Will be fun.

I am going this direction here with the set up. All just scraps and setting there. Will use L brackets. 3 or 4. Can I drill into the vertical frame through the skin and not leak? Maybe back out a few screws at each frame strut and use those holes?

Don Cant wait to ride with you. IF you ride like you build/think, you will have to wait up for me, I fear I may be sloooww for you! :D

flboy, Howdy;

Helpful site for figuring volume;
http://www.handymath.com/cgi-bin/circle ... bmit=Entry
also has a lot of 'other' calculators for figuring out other 'stuff' .

I would think that 3" BLACK ABS like you used for the waste drain would do better.
And we al[ know how much you like to paint stuff ...

Tommy thanks... I think what you have done there looks great.. Certainly is going to do the job. I haven't yet settled on how I am going to manage my "stinky slinky" as they are called. I may do what you have done but just go with the 5in PVC Square fence post like others have done.

We'll see how the solar HW Heater turns out. That will be a project after everything else is done..If it works well... we'll duplicate it. I want to go camping soon! Martin is interested in meeting us in Ocala NF too.. Maybe we should pick a date in Mid to late November or early December and just plan on it.. That'd be a lot of fun. :thumbsup:

I lost some time with Mathew last weekend, so I may not be done the first week in November as I intended. I may need to scrub my Nov
6 Devils Spring dive if the CTC is not ready.

Hank.. thanks for the link... that'll save me some time from having to recall some old math skills somewhere far in the crevices of the grey matter.

Hey Tommy,
Yep. That'll work. You may end up finding some other stuff you want to carry outside as well. Storage is hard to come by in these small trailers.

@ flboy,
I started building a solar pool heater, but ran out of time and never got back to it. I did learn enough to make it work pretty well, but needed more control of temp cycling and flow rate. But it was simple to assemble. It was on the roof over the pool, very intense sun there in summer. A lot like this system.

I took a hard look at the PVC post set up. I believe my set up to be simpler and require less handling of hose. That set up looks tight. Even with my 6 inch pipe it is only just comfortable to pull the hose right out and shove right back in. No fuss, no muss. Very solid and sealed tight. No regrets here.

I took Don and Mcdaves advice on storage. I have started to load the trailer with stuff. Finding a home for everything will be tight. Sleeping bags, TP, towels, jackets, Blankets.

I used plastic draws I had in some stackable storage things I had sitting around. 6 in all. Enough for all cabinets. They fit perfect. Thank you Don. BIG help. Makes it so easy to load the beast.

Pictures on that later.

I think It could be called Tommie's Hobo Hotel On Wheels.
Taking orders soon! :lol:

Mcdave I would love to see your build! It REALLY is a reflection of your personality. Where do you store all those cigars and whiskey bottles? :R

Spoke to martin via e-mail. Looks good mid November for him. Will watch the weather. I could go up twice a month if funds and time permit. Id go every weekend if I could.
