flboy, Howdy;

It's been my experience and I sit about 7' away from the kitchen (galley), sink
as I type this, that the AAV that you have is the same as the one for my Galley sinks
and is the sole vent for that system. It has it's own drain line to the dump valve and
no through the roof vent from the tank. Been workin' fine for 5.5 years now no
need to chastise Rascal for any offensive odors ... plumbing for the sinks is 1.5"
from the sinks to the tank then all the way to the dump valve.

Put an air admittance valve on the vanity sink. That fixed that gurgling. The backup into the shower was because I need a positive vent on the tank as others have mentioned... I thought enough air would seep out... but apparently not fast enough when draining sinks all at once. All is working well (with the positive vent). I need to figure out how I want to put in a positive vent. I think I may just put a small pipe through the back of the outside shower.

The great news for today is that I pressurized the water pipes and I only had one small drip I fixed where the connection is for the outside shower. I am so happy about that. I was expecting a few more. All the sinks, shower, and toilet seem to work fine... Now I need to connect the LP gas and test the hot water tank and fill up the water tanks to check out the pump system.

Getting there... almost fully functional... then to finish the trim stuff and bed. Oh... and I got tags for the trailer at the Tag office today... I can pull it on the road now!

The Vanity trap and vent.

All connected up and leaks fixed.

Come on, just one more.... You know you want to... Just poke one more, You know your good at it, So....?
But seriously, the hepvo probably wont fix ya now. It just replaces traps and air admittance valves, and is failsafe since it does not rely on water to trap gasses. I think you need a vent. Maybe just a small fitting in tank, and a hose to black vent.
Don't let it be the low point, but your gonna want to get that "air" up and away. Now a diverter tee may be all you need to fix shower, so the water from sink is forced (encouraged) to turn away from shower and into tank.
My heart tells me a couple bucks in parts, My head tells me you already have the stuff laying around. (Or filed neatly in the appropriate location, your pretty neat and organized...just sayin')

I guess a hepvo would work in line from shower to drain, acts as a check valve.

Mc Dave .. haha .. you know me too well.. Love to cut them holes in the sides of the camper.   I have an idea how I am going to vent the tank. I have to look at a few things at Home Depot tomorrow and settle on which way. The issue with water in the shower was air pushing back from the tank. I didn't realize how little it takes to create a problem even though I knew it did matter. Thanks for reminding me of that! I am a rookie at plumbing... but learned a ton building this system.

Overall, I am very happy with the way the plumbing turned out.. With the proper venting.. I can fill up the sinks and drain at the same time with no backing up and no gurgling.. block the vent.. and almost immediately air wants to push up in the shower with water.

In the midst of checking out the plumbing today, I managed to fill my gray water tank. Using a 5 gallon bucket, I measured the output.. it is only ~24 gallons... I thought it was 30 gallons. The Black Water is similar sized but with a small taper to it... so I am guessing that is about 20 gallons and not 30 like I thought. Still a good amount of storage... and if gray water gets full, I have no problem diverting it to the ground depending on location.

I got the Fresh Water Holding tanks all hooked up tonight (>60 gallons between the two). I need to get a few hose clamps tomorrow and I'll be able to test that out. My goal tomorrow is to finish the plumbing 100% and also to get the LP hooked up and check out the stove and Hot Water heater.

Hank, I got some yellow tape today.. not going to take a chance. :) :)

Yes... getting close! The rest of my work, with the exception of building the loft bed, is cosmetics..

Tommy... at this rate.. I should make mid-November! Martin.. plan on some camping in Ocala in December!

I'm following along on your plumbing, as I'm in no way looking forward to it.

It's not so bad... just need some patience and a few towels to soak up some water. :) :)

My dual tanks are now connected up and etc.. The On Demand pump appears to be working fine with good pressure. I have the tanks connected together on a "T" going into the pump and they do find level (yay.... I shouldn't be surprised... it is physics 101). That being the case, the two tanks act as one tank in the CTC. I am only going to have to put level sensors on one tank..

I also got the switch in for the pump that is part of the monitor panel. It all is working almost too good. :)

Now I have to clean up my mess and start on the LP connections.

This is the main tank next to the pump and etc.. It sets under the Fridge.

This is the Auxiliary 30 gal partially under one of the dinette booth chairs. Two tanks will balance each other out on opposite sides, so I figured.

It is hard to slow down... I want to finish! :) :)

I drained the tanks after doing all that testing... Drains well.

What a mess to clean up... I have to get all this junk out of there so I can start doing trim and painting. This was a workshop/construction zone for such a long time. Going to be hard to integrate this stuff back into my garage!

Don,I feel your pain on putting everything back up in the garage. When I clean mine out I swore I had more tools and stuff coming out than I took in. I spent two hours the other night after work trying to straighten out my storage building.

Thanks McDave for the kind words and many thanks for all your help and encouragement.  That Youtube video was great. I think I've seen some of those clips before, but not all in one. I am not across the finish line, but definitely on the last lap. :-)

Starting finish work and made some design choices today. First up... got the shower curtain in and settled on the stove area backsplash. Going with a chrome looking design (faux). Also, decided to build the covers for the water tanks and make the back facing side aluminum diamond plate which I already have and then glue indoor/outdoor carpet on the two remaining exposed sides (top and inward facing).

Chevrons are "in", so my daughter tells me.

Image

Chrome look to contrast the white tiles.

Image

Both tanks will get similar removable covers. I need to build them sturdy to support the sides. These tanks appear to bulge on the sides when full of water. Bulging sides can't be good.
