Hmmm.
So on the reverse side of the bolts eh?
Ive got 2mm thick stainless 22mm panel washers either side of the 3mm plate but i guess i could replace one side with a plate

I would envision the bracket being somewhat like the letter 'A' with the bearing side being perpendicular to the wall and the opposite side being angled (triangulated), perhaps even with a second bolt offset from the axle to keep the bracket from rotating. Let's see if I can fake sketch something using text.

In case I hadn't mentioned it before, I really like that checker tread pattern. (If I have mentioned it before, don't tell me; I don't want to know that my mind is slipping! )

Soo.... im battling left it to late in the year with other peoples work commitments so its tough getting things done.
On a brighter note i have since day one wanted drive in movie speakers in my galley
I know its hard to get decent sound out of them but im going to pack them with dacron and have got new 4 inch pioneer 2 way inserts and new potentiometers.
Ill get some bakerlite knobs in singapore in feb next year.
Anyway ive just retored these australian made 1949 speakers.

Glad it brings you good memories. I was born in the late 6os but ove everything about 50s,early 60s design.
Funily enough i knew more how i wanted my galley ti look than anything else right off the bat.
Ive spent far more money than i should of on this project but 90% ive had the good ladys support and it will look like its worth at least what ive spent... or so i tell tracy

Those speakers are super tight! I'm a product of the sixty's too and hoping my build will reflect that. Nice job once again!

All done except for volume nobs.
Ii also changed the inside speakers to some high end MB Quart componant speakers i had lying around and built some custom cabinets for them to get some better sound out of tbem.
I wasnt entirely happy with the sound so i fitted an amp yesterday and they are much better.
Extravigant and unesecery i know but hey...its done now.
Im kind of twidling my thumbs and doing what i can while im waiting on the sheet metal guy whos to busy it seems.
