Second coat of polyurethane on the cabin floor.



First side cut out, including door opening.



Sanding the backside of the ACM skin to rough it up for the adhesive.



Loctite PL adhesive on outside of wall.



Wall and ACM skin bonded together. Good thing there are lots of cinder blocks around to use as clamps.

Didn't get too much accomplished today. Did get the other wall bonded, so we should be able to get them on soon.

Put a cleat onto the inside of each wall to aid in attaching to floor. The cleat will sit on top of the floor. It gives us more bonding surface and also will help with alignment.

Can you tell me how easily it makes the bend on the front of the trailer. I'm building more of a square look but i don't if ACM will make the bend.

How would you insure the joint between the 2 pieces to complete the front and roof is waterproof. I don't have a rear galley

I have played with some scrap pieces and I don't think making my bend is going to be much if an issue. The material should follow the bend pretty well. If you need to make a sharp, angular bend, you need to route a v groove into the backside, or the material will break.

As far as a seam, I think you would treat it just like an aluminum skin. Make sure you have a structural spar underneath the seam, so the ends can be bonded down well. Then cover the seam with some type of aluminum trim and a sealant.

The walls are up. Starting to look like a camper. I think I will start on the AC enclosure next.

Had about 30 minutes free, so put together a quick AC platform. Angled it back about 3 degrees. Think this aluminum roasting pan should work fine as a condensate catch pan. Will run a fitting down thru the floor as a drain.

Haven't made much progress in the last few months, but it's time to get back at it. Working on getting the roof spars in this weekend. Glued up two sheets of 3/4 plywood, and the ripped them 1-1/2" wide. Gives me 1-1/2" square spars. Attaching them to the side walls with pocket screws from the inside. I'm going to vinyl wrap the outside, so i don't want any fasteners going thru the outside walls.
