No, really... St. Paul.

I have done tent & pop-up camper camping & driven a 6x12 racing trailer hither & yon. Looking for a way to travel without hotel reservations, for beauty, relaxation, and necessity. Have no intention of building a TD... but would like to find out if it would 'suit me'. This looks like the best place to start! Maybe by the time the warm weather returns I can trade/sell the Yukon & trailer for something a bit more homey & manageable. We shall see!

Welcome, I'm in Minn also! Yes, also we've done the tent, and pop up camping. I built my teardrop, has minimal compared to most others. But it's very functional. Weighs 1000lbs, has 12volt lighting supplied by a desk top computer power supply. It works great, hook to my Nissan pickup, and away we go. Back into a spot, quick level, crack a beer while I light the fire. No fuss what so ever. Can't be that quick with a pop up, tent, or hardside! Goodluck!
