I don't know, I haven't cooked over an open campfire since I got my first Coleman stove as a Boy Scout. I never liked Smores, and weenies on a stick were OK, but I liked fried Spam (and never tried it on a stick or skewer). Later years, up into my thirties, I shared cold MRE's that a friend would have, but fell back on Spam I always stocked in my car/truck (never out there for more than a coupla days). Didn't camp after that, until just awhile back, now in my sixties. I still don't like Smores, but I might just try weenies on a stick, again. P.S. I always have the Spam handy.
