Postby mrwall1 » Mon Feb 27, 2017 10:20 pm

Well I am getting ready to order a few items to start my build.... Hopefully ill get a lot of opinions! what 12volt water pump should I get.... I see a shur-flow on amazon for $70 plus... and a sea-flow for $30 plus..... I don't think well need a lot of pressure... RV toilet... and a Kitchen sink... and an outdoor shower... not planning on using the shower a lot...

That one should work, but I can't say how long it will last with a small motor.

There are two ways to move water. One is directly with a water pump.
The other is "air over water" with an air pump.
The water tank has an air space above the water surface, and a little air pump, controlled by a pressure switch, put a few psi over it to push water out the faucet.
When I was a kid my dad had little travel trailers with each.
The direct water pump was noisy and surged. The air over water system was quiet and smooth.

Hey Mike,
Check out Ebay. I was able to get tank, pump and accumulator as a combo. All different sizes and shapes. Think about where you plan to mount tank, volume and weight distribution. Closer to the axle (over or under) affects the tongue weight less, empty or full.

I recommend the accumulator. In a little trailer like this you need something to give the system some volume. Really helped a lot with mine.

Ditto on the accumulator. They make a noticeable difference especially when you are trying to "trickle" water . The pump will work without it if the extra cost is a factor.

Btw... Sureflow seems to work well for me. No experience with the other brand.

Thanks guys for your help, I ended up ordering the shur flow revolution... "it says" that it will trickle water... I assume that meant without an accumulator... but I have one in my cart on amazon ready to order just incase!

after scrolling through Don's build I think I finally found it on page 45 or something!! LOL!!!

I Will start my build thread Later tonight... started tearing into it a little today.... oh crap the workmanship!!!
