Foamie Compact builder??

I have began to build an extended Foamie Compact based on the plans in the Design Library.
I've had a HF for a few years, but I just extended it 3' by using the center support beams. I also added 2 wooden support beams due to the added length.

Here come the questions....
I started to build my floor 12" over the "A" portion of the frame but now I am thinking that is a bad idea. I basically just squared off the bottom slope using a 2x6 as a support.
I am thinking of cutting off 8" of floor and getting rid of the 2x6. Thoughts??

Hard to see because the tarp is in the way, but I have the bow cantilevered over the tongue by about 12" like in your one drawing.

It cost me some turn radius, but nothing bad. I had to move Camper about 30miles south to finish the build because reasons, and it pulled just fine.
A little light on the wheels, but that was before the approx 200# hatch was installed.

Well, I planned on canvassing my walls yesterday but realized I messed up my windows, so I redid them.
I also tried trimming my canvas to size and realized it has several seams. For some reason I thought it was seamless. So I'll be cutting out the seams so I can have it lay as flat as possible with about a 4" overlap.
At least I figured out how I can get both panels to dry at 1 time once I am able to canvas the sides

ooh, be careful. If your wall isn't laying flat when the canvas dries it might not want to go flat again. Any sags hanging from rope might just become permanent.

One step closer....
After work I sanded and vacuumed one of my sides. Then I put on a strip of canvas. I started with TB2 deluded about 30%. But that seemed really thin so I added glue to the mix until it seemed thick enough to spread smoothly.

I gave more overhang than I needed. But for my first try, I'd rather have too much than not enough

So far I have 1 wall that I have worked on. I am hoping to do the other wall today.
I put a layer of glue on the foam & a layer on the canvas. So I have foam, glue, canvas, then glue. I'll wait to prime and paint once I put the walls together.

I'm at the stage where I am starting to put in the electrical system and I must admit I am getting frustrated. I've read several posts on TnTTT but I just don't get it.
The plan is for a solar system to charge the battery, but what goes between the battery & the coffee pot and other items.

Solar panel to charge controller. Charge controller to battery. Battery to 12v outlet (cigarette lighter style for us old timers who still remember them). 12v appliance to 12v outlet.

If your appliance is 120v then you will need a DC to AC inverter, but that results in an efficiency loss that needs to be factored into your system if it is at all marginal.

I suppose there should be a fuse in there between battery and load.

Still at it! I'm a bit behind schedule but I did go out of town for work for 3 weeks.

Ok. So I've been HORRIBLE about keeping y'all updated. Sorry, pics to come this week.

My question for this stage, in the lifting roof portion, I am considering soft sides. What would you recommend? I'm considering just a standard tarp.
