So I'm getting close to installing the walls (3/4 inch plywood) on my 5x10 teardrop, and before I start cutting a hole for the shore power receptacle (standard Levetron TT-30r with faceplate) I'm trying to figure out how to mount the sucker. My first thought was to mount the receptacle/box to the inside of the wall, cut a 2 in hole to allow access to the face of the receptacle, and then install the waterproof cover on the outside. Unfortunately, this leaves the face buried a third of way into the wall. If I try and mount the box thru the wall and fasten it on the outside, then the waterproof cover will not fit flush against the wall...thus kinda defeating the purpose. So, what do the more knowledgeable folks here do?
(Yeah, this would be a lot clearer with pictures and diagrams, but I haven't figured out yet how to include pictures/diagrams in a post)
Thanks,
Stephen
