NO Banjos for me. Looks like temps mid 80s on the Thursday we pull in. Night time temps 60s. Delancey for me. May be the west side since we are duel sporting only. Cold showers a plus now.

Sounds good to me. I'd rather boondock anyhow. I was just concerned you may need AC. 60s at night with a fan is ideal for sleeping.

Have you seen the 1972 drama called Deliverance? If we are out there and we come upon some blue tarped place and I hear banjo's... I'll be riding like an A class racer getting out of there. ;-)

I wandered into a place way out in the middle of the forest years ago that was secluded ... Plant's growing on top of two old trailers and a couple rows off dogs in kennels and beer cans thrown all over the place with some vehicles on blocks. It appeared, at the time, to be some sort of dog fighting setup .... as soon as I realized what was going on, I never looked back... That's the kind of place where the redneck just shoots you and no one ever finds you.

Well, the way you say it, makes it sound like a bad thing.... Dogs, beer, trucks, trailers, forest, that's all good stuff. AND Banjo's, gunplay and rednecks? That's GREAT STUFF!!! ... You might want to try bein' a little more neighbourly,... just sayin'..

Lol... there are a few in the pile. :-) All those things are good in and of themselves ... what I saw was a bad recipe of all those things.

I bet you are thawing out by now and getting ready for some camping/riding and etc.. Any mods planned for the CTC this spring?

Mods? Oh ya.. got a bunch irons in the fire right now. I really need to concentrate on cleaning up a million details that are mostly cosmetics, but when I look at the project it's all I can see...Need some trim piece here and paint or caulk there, I tend to dwell on the minutia and breeze through the major construction. The short term memory issues don't help either.
Hopefully I will have the awning issue put to bed soon, I don't want to jinx it, so that all I'm sayin' for now... but I really want to get her all shiny like yours, take a bunch of pics and put a build journal/overview together, then hitch up and go rest on my laurels somewhere, if I can find my laurels.. Gotta clean out that shop, again!

I'll Install the booster this weekend and give a review after the camping trip. It looks like we are going to Delancey, so I have a good baseline for my phone performance.

This device says that it actually can boost a 4G signal 64db , but I am guessing some of that gain is due to the external antenna. Of course, you have to have a signal to amplify, so I am not expecting miracles. But 64 db is huge.

All of your conversions are so unique and interesting to go thru. flboy your conversion is one of my favorites. Thanks for the link. He did a great job on the bed. Lots of great ideas! . If I ever build another bed, I'll think of this video. I have everything I need to cable mine up... but may not bother. It all works so well as is with the hieght.

Thanks for the link. He did a great job on the bed. Lots of great ideas! . If I ever build another bed, I'll think of this video. I have everything I need to cable mine up... but I may never do it.. I am going to raise it 6 more inches most likely and leave it in place. Plenty of walk under clearance and an always ready bed with underneath living area when bikes are out. I have been tossing it around and even bought the winches.. I just see no need with the 7.5 ft. tall ceilings. I always reserve the right to change my mind... and since it is on tracks. I can any time.

Thanks. Mine only binds if all four corners are not lifted evenly. If they lift together, it is fine.

Hey Don,
In the interest of keeping the waters muddied, consider the option of which way the tracks face each other....
Should the rollers oppose each other at the "length" or "width" dimension? Or is the point moot?
And really, how often do you get a chance to use the word "moot"?

Hi McDave... I think what I have would work fine with the cables and winch. Two people with one on each side lifting evenly and there is no binding. For me, there is no utility in the lift given the mission and height to clear the payload, etc.. At this time, I am going to avoid the unneeded complexity. If the need changes in the future.. I already have the parts. If I didn't have the high ceilings, it would be a different story. Moot's the word. :-)

Hey Don,

Watching those temps climb ever higher for our trip. Thinking I may bring that generac that you worked on as it will run the AC. I would bring 50 more feet of extension cord plus the main one with 30 amp connector. This would be for just in case. Just in case of heat exhaustion or in the event some one is close to us and fires one up all night. I don't know if the hosts are gone yet or not. If they are it will happen most likely. Or maybe stay at SSRA and enjoy the spring later in the afternoon. AC, water, electric peace and quite and the spring could be nice but I do prefer boon docking. If I could get away with running the generator for a bit say from 9-midnight. Would it keep you up because of the noise? 3 bad nights of hot sleep and noise could be bad.

Cant wait to ride in the am though. Either way. Time to think about it right up till Thursday.
