I used a little Bondo on a couple of spots under my floor and the TB2 did not want to stick to it, kind of rolled off as if the Bondo was Teflon. Eventually, after several applications and vigorous rounds of sanding with heavy grit, it had enough tooth to take hold.

Just saying, might not be the best filler for using water based products over. Test first.

sounds like some testing is in order. I was leaning toward using gripper to stick the canvas to the ply. I have some bondo, now I need some gripper and some canvas and the experimenting will begin.

BONDO can be used on wood and anything will stick IF you seal it proper.

In my past (this life) I've done wood and auto fillers and learned how to QUICKLY seal each.
Bondo on wood. Use a rattle can of bare metal "red primer". Let dry and sand smooth or TOOTH of your choice, second coat if you sand through.
Now you need one coat of any mid to good quality rattle can finishing paint, let dry and sand off any bumps.
NOW your Teardrop's surface is ready to finish. This seems like unnecessary steps but it's the quickest and lowest cost I know. Also you'll be using up old car paint leftovers, I still have some from the 80's... still good cause it's oil base.

HOPE THIS HELPS,... someone.
Is it possible, FULL RV in a 48 Sq.Ft. footprint & stay under 500Lbs wet?
SHE thinks teardrops are "cute" but I prefer a SKOSH mo-room & at 65+ the
body doesn't react/extract/move/mend/bend/lend or work like it use'ta.
