And I would definitely test it out, check for delay. . .

I have one on my inverter and haven't had any issues. But I only have a 1000W inverter and a Keurig is my biggest load.

The real test is a high-amp dead short, instantly preventing a fire.

I'll stick to fuses at the bank myself, but this would be cheap enough to use just as a cutoff switch anywhere else along the wire.

Hi Bruce. I have 3 115Ah batteries and a pure sine wave inverter. I was reading the current across a shunt in the battery return in this case. I can also use my watt meter on the inverter output and work backwards with Ohms law taking into account the inverter is only 90% efficient. Either way is pretty close. In any case... nowhere near the 200Amp stated for the breaker.

Well, it looks like you did it up right. Unless you have a skinny wire to the inverter I think you're right. Cheap breaker...

I ordered a Blues Seas 300A ANL Fuse and Fuse Block. I am going to give that a shot. It should handle the max surge of the inverter and run comfortable at 50% of rating for max continuous.

I received the Blues Seas 300A ANL Fuse and Fuse Block.. Installed, tested, and I am happy that it works great. I only get 700mV total loss running 1100W at ~100A (through the entire 4.5 ft. of wire and fuse). It was twice that with the other setup.

I ran that load for about 4 minutes and then the inverter fans kicked on as expected... The fuse barely get warm. What a difference quality makes. I am a new BUSS fan if that is who makes Blues Seas stuff!
