Did you make any modifications to your 5x8 frame to make additional room for the tounge box? I like the way you used the box to hide the AC unit. My NT trailer will be here tommorow. Hiding the AC was one of my last design challenges. Your solution is perfect.

jered,
I didn't make any modifications to the NT trailer. I built the tongue box just big enough to ensure that the AC could ventilate sufficiently. The louvers have worked well. I built a small platform that was attached to the trailer tongue and the box itself is hinged at the top and closes down on the platform. You just need to be careful when backing the trailer to watch for hitting the tongue box with the bumper of the tow vehicle. One of the nice things about teardrops is that they are usually light enough to move by hand if the need arises.
On a wooden teardrop, seeing an air conditioner sticking out of the end or side just didn't seem right. I'm glad you liked the setup.
