I ran a full size fridge, 5ft chest freezer, and box fan for 12hrs on one gallon of gas. The best feature is that it is half the cost of a Honda of comparable performance. I actually purchased mine from another site besides Amazon for $450. Plan is to keep one in my squareback and purchase another for home, so when I need to I can run them in parallel.

I was on the verge of buying the 2k from Harbor Freight, which is on sale now for $429. If you can find one. These are apparently very highly rated. The store manager told me to stay away from their 800W 2-stroke, said its very noisy. He said they can't keep the 2k's on the shelf.
A Champion for the same dough is pretty compelling, though. I have the 7.5kw dual-fuel for the house (way overkill as the house takes about 3500w when everything is on, including the furnace and the well pump).
In the end I decided being under 20 pounds versus 50 was more important for my teardrop purpose than the extra power.
