Kidde Fire Extinguisher Recall

Don't know where I heard this but Kidde is recalling millions of extinguishers with plastic handles. Mine was a Lifesaver model about 7 years old. You just go to web site and there is a number to call. You want to have Model number and numbers printed on the cylinder and if it is a recalled unit you will get a safer model sent to you. Never know when you might need on that works.

Looks like I'll have to check all of mine...I have 10 in all, all Kidde, varying from 2 to 10 years old. Probably need to replace some anyway.

Thanks for the tip. I went through the process and found my 1984 (!!!!) Kidde Fire Away 110 to be not affected. Probably ought to replace it though, had no idea it was that old.
