So I have been noticing that I have been getting a lot of moister in my trailer with all the rain we had this winter/spring. So I climbed up to check it out and this is the condition of the sealant that I found.
Lots of spots where it was cracked and pulling away.
So it is time to remove the old and reseal. I took off as much of the old sealant as I could and prepped the skin of the roof too.
Used a wire wheel on an angle grinder and some MEK to clean and prep.
Disclaimer: if you use MEK double rubber glove or use chemical gloves
Used this stuff
Now it says self leveling but I did use a body work putty knife to smooth and spread it out to cover all the seams.
And to ensure many more years on a non leaky roof. I put on four coats of this
All done, this should help cool the inside of the trailer during the summer too by reflecting the sun.
