Hi McDave. I am okay. Just took a soil sample when I went over the handlebars in a washout on the last leg of the ride. I was going too fast to avoid it when I saw it, so I wheelied in and a stump or something was in there. Forced the front end down hard in the mud and compressed the front suspension and the bike flipped.

I landed in soft sand about 15 feet away, but on the right shoulder. Nothing broken. Just bruises, alot of sore muscles, and a jammed shoulder joint. My ego was hurt the worst. ;-) One of these days I am going to figure out how to ride that dirtbike.

Glad I was wearing all the gear. Had a great weekend of adventure and challenge.

Wow, I'm glad you are basically still intact. That was on Sunday? Yeah I'll bet you are feeling all kinds of stuff today. If you haven't seen a medic be sure to keep an eye out for changes in your waste products and respiratory system.
I told you I had to give up on the dirt bikes after I took out both knees during my final bonfire party stunt show. That had to be 7yrs ago. I have taken many, many soil samples, and after exhaustive study I have concluded that they are not good for you. YMMV, but I would try to avoid that in the future. .. just sayin' .. Also, asphalt and concrete poisoning have a downside and are rough on equipment.
Well, glad to hear you survived it. So, did you win? Probably got some style points anyway. Did ya get "The Look" from Mrs.? You know the one I'm talking about. The one that says "Suck it up, Princess"...

This dual sport is not a race.... more of a self guided tour.. but I may have got some style points. I was probably only going about 35mph and landed in soft sand, else I may have taken more of a beating. My wife is a nurse and basically doesn't have much sympathy for self inflicted wounds.. so I just suck it up with a few Advil.. it goes with the territory.

Starting the process of insulating the floors in my CTC. I bought the foil backed 2 in. Styrofoam. Will glue it on and put a bead of foam to seal and hold.

I know it will help in the winter, but you think this will help overall with the air conditioning in the summer? I'd think it would help retain the cooler air that drops low? There is no direct heating from the sun , so probably not as important as exposed areas.

In any case, I will post some install pics.

I sure hope that your floor insulation is an "over-kill"... I know that I would hate to have to insulate after having gotten as far as you have on your trailer to be comfortable. I'm hoping that my non-insulated floors with a rug will keep us toasty and cool when needed. Have you noticed difficulties with either your AC or Heater keeping up without over working? You've got an awesome rig with a lot of details and as always, we look forward to seeing your work!

Probably is overkill... I am not having any issues keeping cool or warm, but I am going for efficiency in this case. I have been in 27F weather (many nights in the 40's)and the floors do seem cold when barefoot, but I am from Florida and I have no carpets down. Hoping the insulation just allows the HVAC systems overall to take less energy.

I could see that shinny side reflecting a lot of radiant heat from the ground, especially on the scorching Florida blacktop.

Yes a good insulation envelope will greatly cut down on the % time the compressor needs to cycle on, save a lot of power required as it gets hotter outside.

Especially if you can make the envelope complete, without gaps (vapor barrier) and cover over any exposed metal (thermal bridging).

Ideally use thermal imaging camera to verify, or an IR gun for spot checks, at a time when outside and inside have a large temp differential.

For cooling only, floor thickness is important, for both heating and cooling all round the same.

The hard part is done. All cut, fitted, and glued. I am calling it quits for the day. I will foam and tape next weekend. Glad to have this done. Besides interior paint, this was the last major thing I needed to do. I am not sure the R-value of this 2 inch styrofoam, but it should be significant.

I did end up have to cut the panels in half to get them in. This 2" foam is too thick to bend and for a tight fit, it was necessary. The seams will be taped up good with aluminum duct tape for sure.
