The overwhelming little details in planning a build

After work today, I pulled out all the thin plywood batten strips that covered the seams in the 3/8 plywood. It's now ready for removing the ply, and it allowed me to see most of the wiring running around the top of the trailer.
That's really about as far as I can go before my boat sells and funds the project. I put it on the local Craigslist today.

They say the happiest two days of a boat owners life are the day he buys it, and the day he sells it.
I'm not too sure about that. I've sold at least a half a dozen boats, and hated to see most of them go... but it's time to move on.

This is a bundle of wires draped over the edge of the beer can thin aluminum corner piece at the back corner. (Same on both sides.) How many bumps do you think it would take for it to cut through the insulation and short it out?

Bingo! That is exactly the type of condition you can correct now to prevent future problems. Some busy work until the boat sells. You are likely to find more of those. On the plus side, you will know what the wiring is like behind those walls. Should help you sleep a little better.
