I’ve had some issues keeping my door sealed. I used this excellent plan I found on here to build and hang the door, with a 1/8” gap between the door and the door jamb molding and both an inner & outer seal.

The only problem is, the door is so big that the gap around it changes depending on the weather. In humid conditions, the gap can be 1/4” to 1/8” depending on the location.

I had originally gone with 1/8” tall, 1/4” wide foam tape style weatherstripping, and doubled it up in the problem areas. This has worked somewhat, but water still leaks in when driving in the rain or during strong storms. In particular, there is a small gap where the tape steps up from one to two layers thick.
Is there a different, better kind of weatherstripping that would seal variable thickness gaps? Ideally I’d like it to be compressible down to 1/8” but tall enough to fill 1/4” gaps.
I’ve been looking at this as an option. Thoughts? Has anyone used this?

Thanks!
