You're lucky, I'm going to make sure I get out and get some drive time with this before hand but coming form CDA I don't think I can completely avoid freeways.

Save room for some newbies! Crater's has been on my list for awhile but I really have no idea what's there (or near). I'm a little slow hiking since i always carry too much camera gear but I'm (slowly) getting braver with the truck offroad. Of course if nobody wants me tagging along I'll hang out next to my half finished teardrop drinking beer all day and be in a great mood when you return to camp
