Exterior finish is complete. I'm beginning to plug all the holes replacing ancillary stuff around the outside. Installed one tail light, the side vents, the shore line socket and the AC unit. I also refinished the inside of both doors.
Tomorrow the fantastic fan will get installed the final time and more work on the exterior of the doors.
Not much excitement but I learned something the hard way. I installed my fantastic fan and was just so proud. It fit, and all was going smooth. Turned on the fan and no go.
I knew I had battery because the lights were on. Tested for 12v through the circuit and I had voltage all the way to the last wire going to the fan. I was worried I might have dropped the fan and broken a wire or solder joint in the fan. As I stared at the fan I wondered if the fan had a safety circuit to prevent operation if the top was not open. Sure enough I opened the vent and it came on. Man I was sweating bullets.
Anyway fan is in, my wife sewed up an AC travel cover, lights are reinstalled. Had some good rain so the doors are not finished. There's always tomorrow.
The Jeep doors really set your camper apart from the crowd. I like the way you did your interior as well. Looks like a lot of fun is in your future. Great job

Interior door panels installed today. I used dynaliner behind the panel on the cabin door. The panels are made from masonite with fabric glued to them.
My decorator said the brown would be better on the inside and contrast the curtains. The curtains are camo like the panel on the galley door. Hope they will be up by this weekend.
The brown canvas was left over from when my wife sewed up this brown safari top.
think about stretching a bungee across the door curtain to keep it from flappin' about in the breeze/getting slam'd in the jamb when you're trying to close the door
no need to ask...
