Maybe. It depends on which way you extend the extra foot. If you hang it off the rear, I doubt you can leave the axle where it is. You want 60/40 split generally, with more weight forward. Take some time and try to figure out where and how you will distribute the weight as you go. This means where is the battery, on board water, cast iron cookware, or whatever you plan on. Where the axle is also effects where your fenders go, which limits where your doors can go. When I do a build, I get a large box (refrigerator) or a couple sheets of cheap 1/4" plywood and make a full size plan. I draw in everything, including the thickness of shelves, counters, roof spars etc. This will give you perspective.
