Anything that makes heat from a 12 volt source will suck a battery dry in no time. Making broiling heat will certainly do so.

Sort of reminds me of an Easy-Bake Oven. It would be nice for heating up burritos or tamales in the cab when driving. (My old man used to have a steel box on the block of his chevy truck for steaming tamales on the way to the gun range.)
