The DV35 propane heater in my house follows the same principle.
I shouldn't be too hard to make a miniature version of that for an RV.
Of course, safely adding a wood heater to a teardrop would probably require more space than I'd want to give up. Even ignoring building codes (some of which exist for safety, some due to lobbyists, and some because that particular bureaucracy wants to increase its power) for this discussion, common sense and physics tell us there needs to be a certain amount of separation between an ammo can stove (or something of similar size) and the combustible materials of the camper. Same applies to the stack. Still, it is an interesting concept. After all, there are some pretty small tent stoves in the world.
