Hey All,
Been some time since I checked in. Since the last time, I have used the foamie fair bit, stripped down a pop up for the frame, and, last year did a 6x10 cargo camper for my wife and I to do some Ohio State Park camping. Now I have decided to transfer the original foamie over to the pop up frame and have started to build a wider foamie on the original trailer. The most interesting thing about moving the original foamie box to the new trailer was the opportunity to inspect the floor and the box as a whole to see how it has fared over seven years. Winters it was stored in the barn but all summer it has sat outside. All in all, it is in very good condition. Since building, it has had a repaint, a second door added, and I sprayed the underside with automotive undercoat when I was working on another project.
So far I have built a floor for the new ttt and getting started in walls. I'll not be on here every day, but when I have time, I will get some pics up. The new ttt will be 66inches wide to maximize the trailer width. The length will be 8 feet. My goals are to maximize internal space for the footprint. It will be a square back with just a little drop in the roof, about 4 inches, towards the front. The weight will fall between the original tear and the cargo camper. The intended use will be for my wife and I to take some longer trips without having to take the cargo camper.
BTW I am really impressed by the efforts that you all have made in building your foamies!
