PM: I did go through your hole tread this morning and enjoyed it, Thank you for the read, links for latch with inside release, and the tent stuff, the aerodynamic tubing popes out for the racks but I will have to trip on it before that happens Indeed its tight; The recommendation of double doors & the mileage at 70 will need no more comparison. My frame to floor has a security of 6 bolts to attach, but I have heard of this attaching method of gluing other projects; the tensile, shear specs in details are all Greek to me but have read several examples where no bolting required, I wouldn't be comfortable doing that. I figure I have 832" of area that can be glued and this is my number one pick at this time. I am confident the glue would be far stronger then the bolts and it will make a very strong and ridged base to build up. I believe ridged will be good?

You will be gluing to the paint and thus relying on the paint's bond to the steel, not the strength of the glue.

Six 3/8" bolts won't fail.

I totally understand and appreciate your concern. No, bare steel to a shiny aluminum surface, here are the extra bolted connections that wont be seen again until I am ready to permanently join the two. I guess I can easily drill the holes to 3/8"

Did some Calculator math because I suck at that too, I will leave the bolts in place and 5/16" alone! The shear stress with the glue-able area mentioned previously 832 inches on the trailer frame and the glues 2.5 MPa Using a internet calculator & enter says 301184 PSI Yes when I said permanent I was serious! here is the calculator.

Spend a little time reading up on galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. There are some simple things you can do to reduce or prevent it. Make sure you can at least easily inspect or replace the frame to body bolts.

Thank you for that. Something that can sneak up and ruin more then just a day, Bolts are an easy job, It's the getting up after laying on ground that wont be.
