All I want to do is install forward-facing lights on each fender that come on when their respective turn signals are used. A simple off-delay timer would hold the light on between blinks of the turn signal and shut it off a second or two after the turn signal turns off. Simple request, right? Here’s a poorly drawn schematic.

Problem 1:
Since the turn signals and brakes use the same wires, every time the brakes are applied, both fender lights would turn on.
Solution to problem 1:

R1 and R2 prevent the off-delay timers from turning the fender lights on when the brakes are applied or the hazard flashers are used.
Problem 2:
If the brakes are used at the same time as either of the turn signals, the fender lights will turn off mid-turn and come back on if the brakes are released before the turn signal shuts off.
There are sequencing issues as well, e.g. brakes on before turn signal vs. turn signal on before brakes, etc...
Two things that I’m willing to add if necessary are a brake pedal signal as a third input and a second set of tail lights (one set for turn and one set for brake).
I work with relays and logic and I can’t seem to solve this puzzle. I’m hoping someone out there is smarter than me and likes a challenge as much as I do.
