
It was 35º outside and was putting out heat at 180ºF. I can't imagine that it will take more than about five minutes to preheat the teardrop.
The housing stayed cool to the touch. (Propex says it needs 1" of clearance.) I tried it with and without a cheap $12 muffler I got off eBay. Without the muffler, it kinda sounds like a dog's low growl. The growl goes away with the muffler. Maybe I'll leave the muffler off where grizzlies make things go bump in the night

The fan makes noise but the unit will be installed behind the bulkhead in the galley and I'll be purchasing noise reducing ducting from Westy-Ventures.
