That's me. A day late and a dollar short. I'm not getting that close to Promontory Point without seeing the Spike site. Spiral Jetty sounds like a winner for the 10th. Everyone else will be at the Spike.

I figure we still start on the 9th ( no more jerking the start date around ) On Friday we can explore the area, see the Spiral Jetty, some of the eastern part of the rail bed. A few naps and campfire. Sing kumbyya a few times. Saturday see what happens. some could go on west on the rail bed about 20 or so miles. Those that want to go to the the Headquarters could catch up. Stay on the rail bed and should not be a problem. Then Sunday will be a pretty full day. For Saturday might make it to Matlin.
Wolffarmer wrote:Not sure how impressive the Spiral Jetty will be. Google earth probably has a better view but at least a person could say they have been there in person.

Also, they opened up the ticket window for another batch on May 10th again this morning.
I went ahead and got a vehicle pass for Friday the 10th.
So plans are more or less back to normal.
Meet up Thursday afternoon.
Spend Friday good part of the day at Promontory Point for the Celebration and maybe the spiral jetty.
Saturday and Sunday explore the old railroad grade.
