Finding that perfect teal paint

Postby Patrick Star » Fri Apr 05, 2019 7:42 pm

Well... I'm to the painting stage of my Caveman build. Very excited, anyways I'm looking for an awesome teal color for the interior, white will be the main color, but didn't see any teals at the store that really popped, all the colors were too dark, light, or strange

Anyone paint their trailer in a sweet vintage teal and white?

What type of paint are you planning to use? If you can find something in the color you want, they can "shoot" it and match it exactly. Home and Auto paint both.

The color I'm after is this pretty much, they had this chair at Lowe's yesterday, but the swatches are all off a shade. It's like trying to find an 8.5mm wrench, lol... it may not exist

I know cell phones are a poor representation of colors, but the shades I saw were either too light, pastel, or too darkImageImage

If you could get a paint chip or possible a good picture, any paint department even the big box stores can custom blend the color. The service is free. Obviously check on return policies if you have to buy a lot.

If you're looking for the teal blue on the lower half of your Scotty, I suggest removing that rear access panel for a day, taking it to a good paint supplier, and have them scan it on their color match processor. That should spit out the correct formula to get the matching color in a quart or better.

Thanks for the replies! After a few more stops I was able to source the exact color I was looking for

It's pretty much the Behr Caicos Turquoise in the link above.

Got some painted this evening
