I am typing from the hospital

Postby sjptak » Mon Jul 17, 2006 9:11 pm

At the moment, I am in the family room at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. This room is in the birthing unit. That said, I am perfectly fine. My wife, however, is a nervous wreck. Our daughter in law is having a BABY !!!!:applause:

Our son is all suited up and is in the delivery room with a very competent staff. This granddaughter will be our ninth grandchild. Next time I type to you all, I'll be a new grandaddy again!!!!!

Sorry I didn't update sooner. This is grandkid #9. Her name is Katie Alexis Ames, she arrived @ 10:36 PM, 7-17-06. 7 lbs 12 oz, 20" long. We had a few scary moments, she was a preamie(not due till 8-04), she was cessarian, had wet lungs, but she did well. She came home today 7-21 and is doing fine.

Her older sister, Jessica, is loving having a baby in the house. Life is good. Thank you, God.

We've been babysitting Jessica for the last couple of days, so again, I apologize for not giving an update. We've been a bit busy between babysitting and running to the hospital.........

Congratulations on # 9 !! :D
You say you have a reasonably small TTT, but there are no pictures, or info, as what kind it is.
Is it reasonably big enough to take the grandkids camping ? :applause:

A double blessing. Welcome Katie Alexis Ames. Your name will live forever in cyberspace. Someday you may be able to look back and see how many people knew of your birth and wished you well.

Live well and be happy
