I got one of these:
Wireless Relay


Button A turns on all the porch-lights, button B now turns on the running lights. Just gotta figure out what C and D should do.

One of those should operate the ejector seat for when things go horribly awry with your camping buddy.

Let's see, A is the porch lights, B is the ejection seat... er, no, A is the ejection seat, C is the porch lights....I know D fires the machine guns...I think....

This is the second relay I've installed, the first one was an eBay el-cheapo model that quit working sometime last year. We really liked being able to control the exterior lights when walking back to the trailer in the dark, especially if we were in a campground with a bunch of trailers. It made it easy to find ours. I gotta admit though, exterior lights are probably the only thing I'll control with the fob, everything else in the trailer is close enough to reach without much effort.

I'm a little behind, but thanks for sharing the great camping pictures! Glad you had a nice relaxing time enjoying the fruits of your labors.

p.s. I started a new, much better, job recently. They have a nice coffee mess/kitchen, but don't supply utensils... plastic or otherwise, so for my daily yogurt I stopped by Goodwill to pick out a few utensils to keep at my desk, 25ct each. I got a few spoons forks and knives. Thought I found a rocket soup spoon, thought of you, but then realized it was just the starburst pattern. I got it anyway, so now when ever I use it I will think of the Astroliner! Even better still, at the checkout, the clerk rang everything up at 13ct each. Huzzah!

Hey Man that's awesome! Thanks for sharing that. That pattern has been in my family, a piece here and there since before I was born. So it's my favorite. I've always enjoyed the mis-matched everything for our lake Cottage and I love nostalgia. But I started buying them a piece at a time and finally found them all.

I joined the relay club, also. Going to be controlling the under camper outside lights and illuminating the running lights(while parked). Can't wait! Humm.... two buttons free yet!

Bruce, I am assuming that this remote has a draw. Do you know how much?

I haven't measured mine directly, but it's not much whatever it is. My total amp draw with everything off didn't go up from what it was before I added it so it's less than a watt.

Internal discharge current from battery would be more than the draw by this gadget. If I go remote relay with my build I know where to start: get the roof up and down! Transformers are here!
