New Cargo Conversion Build

So my cargo trailer came with a nasty sticky section on the back where a sticker used to be (as pictured below). I used goo be gone and didnt have much luck. I then used wd-40 and didnt have much luck. Then I tried the dollar tree cleaner by the name of LA totally amazing cleaner, and that sticky stuff came off with very little effort. I was pretty amazed. It works good on streaks too. Just in case anyone was looking for something..thought I would share.

I started on cabinets this weekend. Here are the bed cabinets all rough and just laying in place. Today I was able to get them mounted, but they still need sanded and painted. I added a shot of the type of latch that I used. I had to cut a little space on the cabinet doors to accommodate the bed hinge. I was honestly surprised how good that came out. I think I'm going to switch to a sheet of plywood for the bed supports and then all of that gets closed and finished like a cabinet too.

I ran the ac without any condensation leaks as well . I couldn't be more excited about that. I had been chasing that a while.

Lights are installed (still wondering if I can hook the battery and 110v to the same lights). The counter top went in. I'll shoot a pic of that when the cabinet doors are on.

I got the main cabinet doors built today. Now I have to sand, prime, and paint. Hinges and pulls came in the mail as well.

Yep, that's looking good. You have a lot of the big stuff knocked out already. So what d'ya think? Worth it? I know I enjoyed the build process and I really have enjoyed the camping. I towed the Harley to Custer State Park last week. It was just so nice back in to the site, plug in and roll the bike out, then head out to Sturgis and the Black Hills. The trailer towed well and I had zero issues for the week I was there. I stayed at Stockade Lake and it was a great place to spend a week. Here is a pic or two.

We only have one trip under our belts, and it wasn't as far along as it is now, but definitely worth it. I'm enjoying the project, camping was way better than a tent, and clean up was a breeze comparitively. We have our fully loaded trios on the calendar for this fall, so I'll surely report back after that experience.

I got some of the non-door cabinet faces done today. Well..they still need sanded, primed, and painted, but at least they are in.

Changed out the bed supports and finished the frame there. A 1x6x6 is $6+ each. I found 1x6x6 fence planks in the garden section of lowes for $1.38 each . Just a little money savings tip for you.

I also built the coffee pot area over the fridge and created a pantry pull out, which you can see in the pic. I left the back open for when I insulate. Almost ready for Fall camping.
