It's my fault--my son's turtle Chuck is dead.

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

My dad keeps count of how many racoons he kills, I don't remember what it is but it is in the triple digits. Technically, he is legally allowed to kill them because they are "Harassing Farm Animals". It makes him madder when they kill the chickens and don't even eat them.

How about a pellet gun. They don't make too much noise.

P.S. I do endorse protecting your cat, and wallet. $>

Ya done good Ira! Parenting Mag. exist to give advertisers a place to go. Bet if you follow long enough they will contradict themselves on everything. (Dr. Spock)

What children really need is to be told in the gentlest truest way that all creatures have a limited life span, and consulation. Can't believe the turtle lasted that long. Mine never did.

Course neither did my slimy green tree frogs. The last one died from shock. See my older sister (12) got a purse. She kept accusing us of getting in it and getting us in trouble. Soooooo. I put my poor innocent suction cup footed frog in her purse.

Well, she did it. Then she opened it. It landed down her new 1 st bra and stuck.   Well I died laughing. My little sister hid and my dad..

Bless him couldn't help but laugh too. And he forbid my mom from punishing me. My frog didn't survive the "fall" out, so to speak. I think she scared him to death with that scream.

I know, I'm mean and the frogs came by the hundreds but he was mine.
Made ya laugh, huh. 8)
Sorry about the turtle. They are so cute.

I have one of those CO2 pistols, but not only don't I really want to hurt the animals, I'm a lousy shot.

I catch a lot of coons and possums in my trap too, which I always let go, because they don't bother the birds.
Here we go again!
