The loft. I don't use the curtains, but my wife is with me on this trip. Already in bed and it is only 10:30pm. I am down at the dinette on my laptop.

BTW.. No gas mileage improvement whatsoever with the Flowmaster and K&N. Maybe offset any degradation the new tires and 2inch lift may have caused at best.

Looks good and sounds great... so I will take it.

The Mrs. enjoying the zero gravity chair. It is really amazing how comfortable and portable those are. Perfect for the CTC when convertingthe garage area to lounge/TV area. Almost as good as the LazyBoy for taking a nap when fully reclined.

Man, that looks great. Wish I could be there right now. I just about got run over by the Trump Train in Sturgis. They're a lively bunch and the bikers love him.
So you're sayin' no MPG increase at all, But what about performance? May be hard to tell since you made other upgrades as well. The bigger meats will surely cost you some mileage but they perform off road, and look cool. Did you check that nut behind the wheel? Let's face it, nobody builds a hot rod to get good gas mileage. Except Tesla. And they aint perfect either.
So you got any rides planned while you are there? Well, have fun and be careful. Get in there and make your wife a smoothie. Maybe a touch of Bacardi or Absolute for good measure...

Hi McDave. No improvements.. but performance seems better... I am sure that is just because I like the sound, however!


Good ride today with a long loop along the inter-coastal waterway and crossover to the coastline after TS Nester moved on and the sun came back out.

Stopped by an event to enjoy the vendors, music and etc. We left before the women's coleslaw wrestling started. Not sure I wanted to see that. Trying to keep it a G rated afternoon and I am pretty sure some of these lady contestants should not ever wear bikinis. Yes... a giant pool of coleslaw for entertainment. Here are some pics of the slaw pit and some of the crowd... got a good t-shirt in any case.

Packing up and heading home tomorrow. The CTC worked out great again! Thankful to have it and the time to enjoy it. We actually spent a good bit of time indoors earlier today waiting for rain to stop , but it was really relaxing just hanging out with all the comforts of home on a smaller scale.

Okay, got the 3 100w panels mounted to rails which are made of 1 inch square tubes. I cut each to 7ft and then will fasten them to the top with L brackets shown below.

I made the panel mounts by cutting 12 3 inch sections of 3/4 inch angle aluminum. I use one in each corner of the panel with self taping screws. This gives me 1/4 standoff from the trailer roof. This is is how I mounted the front 5 panels, except I did not used L brackets on the rails. I just drilled and taped screws directly into top frame.

Will get it on the roof tomorrow and wire into the new controller. This 300W will have its own 30A MPPT controller to provide redundancy. The front panels already have a 40A MPPT controller. These three panels woild have exceeded the current limits.

















L brackets will drill into side of top frame. Should have did this up front.. oh well. Live and learn. They work well up front, just have to make sure the Dicor stays good so no leaks.

Got the final 300W installed. I still need to wrap the red and black wires to keep the UVs off, but they are mounted well. All hooked up for a total of 800W. Enough to run the Air Conditioner straight up with good sun. In any case, I will get a fast charge on the battery bank whenever I do have sun.

I did hook up the three back panels in series so I am carrying less current on the longer run of wires but at a higher voltage. The front panels are wired in parallel. Pros and Cons for both ways... will see how this does.

Here is a look at the array on the roof. I need to clean the roof, but you can see how the install turned out in any case.










Installed with dicor tape and dicor self leveling sealer, but this is the wire access I installed. The wires go directly down to the 30a controller I installed in the electric closet. It is a little busy in there.









The electric closet got more wires and another DC breaker. This was the best place to put the second MPPT controller (you can see it on the bottom right side). I will add a switch later to switch readout to display by the door. Just going to add an A/B switch so I can use one monitor with the two controllers. BTW.. I do hang jackets and etc. in there and store a few things on the bottom. Dual purpose!

There she is all solar panelled up. Loading up for a camping trip Thurs. to Sun. in the Ocala NF. Looking for some cooler weather and some good riding.

Did have a leak on the roof due to my VHF/UHF antenna which I discovered on Wednesday last week. The rubber seal shrunk up and it appears the antenna hit a branch or etc. because it was bent back slightly which created a a very small break in the seal. Water was pooling there due to the way it was setting on the pad, and water does what water does.

Messed up some paneling by the dinette. :-( Fixed the leak and know now to watch that, but not sure what to do about panel yet. It swelled a bit. Going to wait until it dries up before I make any decisions. Not real bad, but just bothers me. Live and learn. I put on a new rubber seal and added dicor sealer for good measure. Something I will have to watch going forward if I am going through low tree cover.

Don, looks outstanding, even with the "Patina" that objects acquire when they sit outdoors in Fl.
Excellent catch with regards to the antenna leak. Truly could have created some major problems
if you hadn't caught it. Reckon you'll need to use the AC to 'dry out' the interior and Fl's dry season
is about to start IIRC.
